Should have just made a Death of Superman live action movie. Over the Batman vs Superman mess. This has a great voice cast too.

DC's animated movies have been pretty unimpressive over the last few years for the most part. This is the best DC animated movie I've seen in years! Can't wait to watch Reign of the Supermen.
Now I’ve always been a Batman fan so I went into this not expecting to much by but i was completely blown away, this has to be in my top 5 dc animated movies.
Totally unnecessary, but welcome retelling of the classic story. They finally did it justice (pun intended) and added some extra weight to it, with a few nice touches. I even found myself getting nostalgic at points where they covered certain beats from the comic. It's a damn good Superman movie. They shit the bed on the ending though, and deflate the whole thing a bit, but that can be forgiven considering the quality of the rest.
Well the story was fine for me but the action really got me it was awesome.I loved it.
But there is one problem why DC can't have one post credit scene instead of so many scenes throughout the credits.
This movie wan't bad story wise, I will say that I did enjoy "Superman: Doomsday" more. First and foremost, I am disappointed whenever Kevin Conroy isn't the voice of Batman/Bruce Wayne. The voice direction in this movie leaves a lot to be desired whenever Lex Luthor is on screen, he sounds like a dweeb, full stop. The choice of these voice particular voice actors makes one long for the days of the old 90's era of Superman and Batman animated series.

DC Knows How To Making Animated Movies & This Is Probably One Of The Top 5 They Have Made To Date. On Part With Flashpoint And A Few Others That I Can Think Of. I Don't Know Why The Justice League Movie Wasn't Nearly As Good As This, Animation Is Amazing, Voice Acting & Story Were Spot On.
Shouldn't Be Missed & Will Be Thoroughly Enjoyed. Watch It All The Way Through. We Need More DC Animated Movies, Can't Get Enough Of Them.
Definitely in the top 5 DC Animated movies to date. I would argue that it could be the best one. This is what the Justice League movie should have been. Hopefully part 2 can live up to it's predecessor. Animation, Voice acting and story were spot on. Be sure to watch it all the way through the credits!!!
This was great, except for the unnecessary “Our Father” prayer near the end.
Easily on my top 5 Dc animations until now. I really liked this one not just because it has great fights, but also because it explores very well the difficulties of Superman and Clark Kent's life, even though it's a very simple story.
Fantastic movie. Great action and gets to the core of what I love about Superman. His last line as he dies about saving people being all he ever wanted. Wow. The mourning montage brought tears to my eyes. Esp the guy on the dock talking to God. Wow.
Cyborg Superman next? And Superboy? Bring it on.
DC nails these animated movies coz there is less interference from the production company.
P.s. Jennifer Hale's voice is instantly recognisable to me. She may be listed as Ma Kent but she definitely voiced the star lab scientist too.

Epic epic piece of work from the animated DC arm..the OST was spot on, the animation was absolutely amazing and you feel the weight of the story..the consequences of every action. It was perfect

Im a fairly harsh grader, this one got a 9. I loved this movie so much. This movie introduced so many subplots of the dc universe, that I had to stop it serveral time to google what was being mentioned. Is WW jealous of LL? Also nearly all of my most favorite characters are here, Supes, of course, Martian Manhunter, Damian and Steel, yes, freaking STEEL! Lex was on the Micheal Rosenbaum level of Lex. And we also have a ton of mystery being introduced. Its clear DC is concentrating on TV shows and these direct video animated movies rather than the big screen. An excellent approach if you ask me, because I have watched all of em, especially the arc with Damian, this little dude nearly killed Superman in one of the movies, he's better than his pops. Generally I live for the next Star Wars movie, and pray for another Stargate anything, but for now, all I want to see is the next series of movies that will come from this masterpiece.
Oh yeah, why did I give it a 9? No Brainiac. The bar has been set by Krypton, Smallvile and other movies, no Brainiac, no 10. Damn I cant wait for Wonder Man!
