Some things are best kept secret.
Minnie Goetze is a 15-year-old aspiring comic-book artist, coming of age in the haze of the 1970s in San Francisco. Insatiably curious about the world around her, Minnie is a pretty typical teenage girl. Oh, except that she’s sleeping with her mother’s boyfriend.

Not a diary I will be opening again. Its a well made film with some nifty animation sequences. However, the personal growth of the leading character is forced and not particularly interesting. In my opinion, as a non-teenage girl.

Even tho the movie is acclimated on the 70s, i still feel it as a nowadays Lolita. An-old-man-teenage-affair through the eye of the young lady, that dispite from the fact that has a lot to grow as a person, she's still consicious of her wills, either from a sexual nature or not. Loved the non-judmental narrative of the movie on such a sensitive topic. Impressed me in a good manner, didnt expected anything from this movie.

Other thing to point out, the beautiful aesthetic, mixing retro camera effects and the "rookie-sh" drawings.
