Bizarre, funny and incredibly stylish. Sidse Babett Knudsen is in gorgeous form and perfectly cast in this delightfully odd little film.
Very intriguing film by Peter Strickland about sexuality and dominance. It's cryptic and sometimes quite etheral. But it looks and sounds fantastic and I couldn't stop watching it. There are nods to Bergman and Jodorowsky, no men in the film and it has a particularly unsettling insect sequence towards the end. Strickland's films are always mysterious and tenuous but this is his most airy film to date. It raises so many questions that it's likely to put some viewers off, but I feel in years to come it may be regarded very highly
I get what they were going for here. I really do and while it had a LOT of good qualities I think it could have been better than it was. That said.... I think they missed the mark.
Absolute shite... if fully clothed eroticisms and endless staring into the distance is your thing, then this is it.
The posh setting, arty shots and use of classical music can't disguise or give substance to this soft core bdsm movie.
Dafuq did I just watch ? I want my 100 minutes back

Evocative of 1970's French arthouse cinema, this is a film decidedly not for all tastes. However, lay aside your inhibitions and you will find this to be a compelling study of a twisted sexual relationship.
