"La Por" tells the story of Manuel, a boy of sixteen who never talks to anyone about what happens in your family. He never talks about that, in the morning, when his father gets up, he is already awake. He never talks about the bruises that has his mother in different parts of the body. Neither speaks of fear that he, his mother and his little sister feel when they are at home with their father. So Manuel likes to go to high school, because while there is not at home. Today the professor explains what genetic heredity is and Manuel can not stop thinking about it all day: Will I be like my father? Then Manuel makes a decision: find work to get out the hell in which his mother and sister live, but that would involve separating from his girlfriend, leave the school basketball team and and join the night high school. It is the most important decision you will ever take. It is an adult decision.
