The Flint Street Nativity 1999

Endlessly funny, endlessly quotable, this should be a firm fixture in everyone's Christmas film list!

More than one watch can be helpful, to catch everything that the "kids" mutter under their breath; it is very funny! Includes a lot of familiar (but younger) faces; Ralf Little, Mark Addy, Jane Horrocks, Dervla Kirwan, Josie Lawrence, Neil Morrissey, Frank Skinner, Stephen Tompkinson etc.

The film will bring back fond and not-so-fond memories of primary school. It plays on the fact that children hear and see everything that goes on in their homes, and then repeat it at school. The set design is one of the best parts of this film; from the giant toilet cubicles, to the wee play-house in the corner of the classroom, to the hand-made costumes (yes, those are towels you see!). This film is an absolute treat, you should watch it!
