Think of your least favorite James Bond movie, now swap out the villain for radical feminists, cut the budget by 90%, and there you have The Girl from Rio. This movie has moments that almost work, if this were a self-aware parody. It's odd to see a Franco movie that isn't trashy Euro sleaze, which, as a fan of his, was both interesting and disappointing. If some of the fat was trimmed off this film, it would be pretty good.
