An escaped mental patient assists his sister in faking her own death to provoke their greedy relatives to fight for the inheritence. This is an entertaining murder mystery despite it being blatant about who the killer is. Quite thrilling and creepy with the classic old dark house setting but this one plays out more as a comedy than anything else. The cast is decent enough but I want to highlight Eustis played by Willie Best. He steals the show and gives some of his hilarious cartoony expressions. In just 63 minutes, this is a perfect film to pass the time.
