Despite being utterly ridiculous, a total rip-off, and with absolutely horrendous acting, The King of the Kickboxers is an absolute charmer. Pretty much nobody can act, but the lines are delivered with great intensity and belief, and there's never a dull moment. The action is also top-notch for what this film actually is. The King of the Kickboxers fall straight into the "so bad that it's good" basket, and is actually very much worth a watch. It's actually quite weird that I haven't seen this one before, as these kinds of films were everything back in my early teens...
