Like a plastic bullet, they took their shot but it's not very effective.
They lost me at the scene where the possessed girl is approaching the height of her delirium and the crew and pastor all have serious doubts about how deeply in distress both physically and psychologically the child is when the camera man suggests they take a nap for an hour and everyone's like, Yeah, good idea.
The poor writing douses the fire that the excellent acting ignites.
Oh, and it's called The Last Exorcism but there's a sequel?
Hnnnnnnnnng this is so creepy-good but for the wet-fart of an ending.
I have seen better, way better then this. It did have a spook moment here and there but I would not want to see this flick again, ever!
A smart and well-crafted film, The Last Exorcism is an intense and exciting dramatic thriller. Filmed as a documentary, a former exorcist sets out to expose exorcism as a hoax but comes up against a case that puts him to the test. The storytelling’s especially good, and does an exceptional job at developing the plot and at setting a realistic tone. The character development is also well-done, and helps to draw the audience into the film. The Last Exorcism avoids many of the tropes of the horror genre and presents a uniquely compelling vision that’s full of intrigue.
Boring. Made it 10 minutes in before I decided to ffwd through. Hate documentary/found footage themed movies.
Comedy yes, horror no, still Ninja tho :)
