This the best movie by Wes Anderson. It's charming, funny, sad and tender, yet magical. The ending... it's heartbreaking and sweet. A must-see for everyone.

This is, by far, Wes Anderson's best film. The ridiculous bits are in proportion to the serious parts, the comedy hits its mark every time, the acting is arguably the best in any of his movies, and it has an emotional edge that is lacking in movies these days. If you like quirky movies then you have to see this one, and even if you don't like them you should give this one a try

Steve Zissou: This is an adventure.

Epic.

What a weird movie. I couldn´t get one honest laugh out of it, not even a forced smile.

When it comes to Wes Anderson's movies, the goofier and more cartoony, usually the better. This one comes with quite a lot of both, and even throws into the pan some beautiful claymation sea creatures courtesy of Henry Selick. As always, it takes forever to get nowhere, but the characters and overall atmosphere were enough to win me over this time. Although Murray's character felt rather obnoxious at first, he turned out to be the most interesting of the bunch. He seems somewhat aware of his condition but still ends up hurting everyone around him, too busy trying to retain control over the way he gets represented by both the press and his own films. I liked the fact that the movie is about Zissou's documentaries rather than the facts themselves, even though the concept could have been explored further.

The camera work, the music, the sets, and the unique special effects are all great. I just didn't think it was that funny and was a little bored. It's a little too long and dragged in places. Still worth a watch as it looks interesting.

This film just harmlessly drags along. The CGI is incredibly bad

Anderson are my favorite director in a world. His creativity is amazing!! So yeah, this movie are really lovely.

Seu Jorge was the best thing about this movie, I now need him to sit around and sing in every other Wes Anderson film.

What a strange film.
It starts just a little odd, but you think it’s a relatively normal world, until they start introducing actual different animals than those we have in ours. Crayon pony fish? Hello, you’re cute.

The crew is so weird, I love it. They’re all so specifically odd, yet not over explained. Random Portuguese … not very talented singing of David Bowie , lady who refuses to wear shirts…

And I love how obviously bad it is, optically, as if it were made back in the 80s, on low budget.

This is probably one of the most stupid movies I have ever seen........... and still it is captivating. Bill Murray is carrying this whole movie of course, but superb roles by Willem Dafoe and Cate Blanchett and Owen Wilson and Anjelica Hustun.......... only Jeff Goldblum his role is a bit underwhelming.

Anyway. For a stupid movie - it's pretty good.

Sooooo damn long! I was commited and interested in the beginning, got very stale and boring in the middle and I managed to find some enjoyment in the last third once the mission scenes start. Not quite as funny as some of Anderson's later works but it isn't bad, I chuckled a few times. Bill Murray as Steve Zissou is excellent and the whole cast is perfectly cast. As excellent as the set looks it's not Anderson's best by any means. I like the change in scenery though. The mission part and the submarine were my favorite moments. I freakin' love the stop-motion animals in a lot of Anderson's movies, nice use of it here again.

Still waiting for my red cap and speedo

Not Anderson’s best movie, but certainly enjoyable although too long. Beautiful cinematography. Crazy storyline. Fine soundtrack. Great cast.

Just an alright watch for me. Had some fun visuals, some humor, and a good cast but the movie was still too slow moving to fully appreciate the positives.

This movie has a great aesthetic, the cinematography is beautiful and the score (Thanks, Seu Jorge) is amazing too. I felt the movie is a little longer than it should be and the events could have more impact.

It's got everything you look for in a Wes Anderson movie, and yet it feels so unlike any of his other films I've seen. One example, the music choices feel almost incongruous with what's going on a lot of the time. Not that I have anything against David Bowie or Mark Mothersbaugh, but I just haven't come to expect such varied genres in the score, ranging from regular score to high octane guitar and funky electronic. Then again, that was my fault, coming into a Wes Anderson movie with expectations. I should have gone in as I normally do: as a clean slate, ready for anything and everything he throws at me through my screen.

A specific film stuffed with stars, although they do not create the atmosphere there. ;>

It’s not as good as the other Wes Anderson films but still good. The acting is good, Bill Murray is being Bill Murray. The writing is good and the shots and colors are great as in most of the Wes Anderson films. The story is good and Steve Zisso is a memorable character. It feels a little long and at some times boring. Overall it’s a good very unique and interesting movie with emotion and some humor.

I really don't know how classify this movie, oh god, it's awful! Zapping tv, looking for some interesting program to watch I found this starting and remembered Gubler is on the movie, so I decided to, but I really regreted watched! It's worth or the same bad than Human Centipede (that i've watch this week)!
