I've seen it before, but i wasn't the person with the remote as you say... It will never be as good as the first film, but it was alright.. The soundtrack wasn't has good as the first, and they've changed some voice actors that just don't fit for me..

The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride takes us back to the Pride Lands with a fresh twist. It introduces us to Simba's daughter, Kiara, and Kovu, who adds depth to the story. While it may not quite reach the heights of the original, it's a solid sequel. The film maintains the classic Lion King elements, including memorable songs and the circle of life theme, making it a worthwhile addition to the Lion King universe. If you're a fan of the first movie, this one's definitely worth a watch.:lion::crown::notes:

Day 11:

At least it was short.

This is my first real experience with any of the sequels produced by the Disney Toons brand that haunted the shelves of blockbuster in the late 90s and early 00s and I'm starting to see why people hate these things. The plot is nothing special, the returning characters are shells of themselves and the music is absolutely atrocious throughout.

The animation isn't quite as a big a step-down as I would have expected but is nowhere near as awe-inspiring as the originals. This will probably distract a younger kid fine but that's the best I can say for it.

This movie rips so many scenes from the first movie, along with characters and even animations that are ripoffs from the first movie, particularly with the outsiders being a mix of either Scar's personality or looks, with Zira having so many of Scar's exact animations.

That being said, there are some good songs that I still remember from when I watched it as a kid, and the animation, while not as perfect as the original, still holds a lot of the charm of that style, so it has those things going for it, but not much else.
