Fuck, I know he's alive, I've watched these movies like a hundred times, and yet it's so fucking sad when Gendalf falls.

Just got out of my local cinema who are currently screening the extended editions of the trilogy over the next few weeks. Tremendous to see this back on the big screen. It's absolutely lost none of the its power, the cast is perfect, every one of them are firing on all cylinders, Howard Shore is just amazing, the amount of models mixed in with the VFX gives the whole thing a tactile lived in feeling. Superb.

It's perhaps one of the greatest movies ever made. Go watch it now. Again.

What is there to say about this movie that hasn`t been said before.

After watching The Hobbit I had to re-visit the LotR trilogy. In direct comparison you see that it is a couple of years older but it still looks stunning and is one of THE best movies ever. And even seeing it for the second time it is so powerful emotionally it gets me again.

Audio commentary by the director and the writers: Worth the watch if you're a fan. Stays interesting throughout the movie with fun trivia and talking about the differences between the book and the theatrical edition.

The soundtrack is beautiful and gives me chills, it really elevates so many moments.

I finished the book recently which added a lot to the movie for me and made it more fun.

I love the peaceful happy moments at the beginning, knowing the scary adventures to come.

Gollum is the best thing about the trilogy but even without him having a big role in Fellowship, this film is still my favorite.
