The Nutty Professor 1996

Always seen bits of this film on TV, but never watched it in full. I saw that this was recently back on TV so I thought I'd watch it in full, and I didn't regret it, I really enjoyed it from start to finish. Nice and light, funny, that's all there is to it to brighten up a dull, dark evening.

A classic story that does not really work here with Eddie Murphy. He just tries too hard. Though not entirely terrible, I would rater recommend that you watch the much better 1968 version with Jerry Lewis.

Eddie Murphy was a superstar in the 80s and 90s. He could not go wrong, every movie he shot was a success. In my opinion, he was above his peak when he made The Nutty Professor.
Eddie Murphy does Eddie Murphy times X. One of the most blatant self-expressions ever put to film. Everybody else in this movie are just extras. That's just too much.
