The start of start of the film seemed promising. It was flowing pretty good towards about the second half of the film and then it just flatlined. The characters (except maybe the dad) were really hard to grow attached to and even then the dad was a character I was not really committed to. The characters were flat and basic and the oldest daughter kept irritating me. Most characters in a movie have some sort of character change (usually for the better, sometimes bad) but she was just annoying. Then in the end she finally started to suddenly care. Plus the word suddenly is also the key word for the last ten minutes of the movie. Everything happened so fast and felt very rushed, like the movie knew it needed to explain more so let's just cram it all in ten minutes or less. The ending was in my opinion bad. I mean you can tell how it was going to end with most of the characters, but just throwing a sort of plot twist that really wasn't a twist was bad. At first the film seemed really promising. The acting was fairly good and the visuals were good too, but the characters were so flat and there were so many loop holes and unexplained answers that makes you a little irritated in the end.
This is a pretty shoddy film that fails on almost every front. The script is weak and plot paper thin, the acting is mediocre at best but generally quite poor with 2-dimensional and cliche characters, and the horror element is almost non-existent; it doesn't even have any successful jump scares, cheap as they can be.
Not sure how this film's rating is almost at a "fair" rating on here - perhaps a lot of people watched and rated this while high or drunk. In a word: avoid.
Overall not a terrible movie. parts of the dialogue were great but the execution was not stellar. Haunted house movies are tricky and this one played out nicely until it fell apart at the end...tragically so.
This was just meh or perhaps poor. There is no unexpected ending, one known cliche more. Honestly I didn't expect much from this movie, so nothing better than I expected. I don't know what else to say about this. I like the house? Acting not that much. (:
Fitting title. You keep checking how many minutes still remain. Yawn!
Jesus i hate teenagers. Was a meh movie

character development was one note - wife/mother recently died, it's a lazy boring trope. the acting is bad from all cast members especially the children and the dollhouse seems to be completely meaningless even though it's in the cover art and focused on throughout. the house nor the haunting are scary/spooky in any way.
