I felt it was thought provoking, but hated the ending. I wish they would've flushed out what happens after the point where they ended it. My husband hated this movie, and consequently I've lost movie picking privileges for awhile.
Despite the glut of crap reality tv shows on our screens, it is unlikely we would ever get a show like this... I hope! The film doesn't have a lot new to say, but like the audience in the movie, I was glued to the gratuity of what played out before me.
This film was just truly sick, the fact that people would probably actually sit and watch this show in real life makes me feel soo bad!
i liked this movie but i also really like giancarlo esposito and he directed it, so i'm probably biased. it's a little formulaic and a lot contrived but honestly i assumed it was poking fun of itself halfway through when you see famkke's character pointing at the ratings on the screen and the shows with less viewership than theirs are titled things like "screaming children all day long" and "things women cry about". felt much more like satire than a drama, kind of in the vein of the show barry.
This clump of cliches and formulaic story line should've followed its own premise and offed itself before I had to.
It's very much a "Made in Vancouver, made for TV" film.
There are some good performances hiding here, but they're largely irrelevant. It's not even a little bit subtle, with 30 minutes of story stretched past the breaking point.

Not the greatest film but IMO ticked along nicely and very watchable
