I'm not too much into spy movies, but this one has everything a good one needs. Infiltration. Planting bugs. Treason. Elaborate infiltration plans (think Argo). Conflict between intelligence and politics. Weird friendship between agents on opposing sides. The hero betraying his orders to do what he thinks is right for his country.
Intrigue is well done, the historical background story is interesting. The main actor is really good in his different personas and the
Bonus: there are really funny scenes with Kim Jong Il.
A simple but emotional ending, several people were crynig in the theater.
Now It would be interesting to see how close it is to the real story.
The spy definitely went north, but he should've come in from the cold because this political thriller lacks the heat in many South Korean films of late.

I was quite surprised by this movie, a good spy drama with a rich based on real events story. Jumped to the top of korean films.
