'The Stars Fell on Henrietta' is a little known movie which is a shame because it is a really great one.

Produced by Clint Eastwood, starring Robert Duvall and featuring a great cast that includes Brian Dennehy, Aidan Quinn, Frances Fisher, and Billy Bob Thornton among others, the movie surprisingly was a complete commercial failure, earning less than $99,000 at the box office in the U.S. with an estimated budget of $13,000,000.

Nevertheless, this movie is one of those forgotten gems that many more people should see. Robert Duvall's performance is terrific and the movie has a great setting and look. I saw 'The Stars Fell on Henrietta' many years ago on television and couldn't forget about it. This movie was only released on VHS in the U.S. back in 1998 and for many years it wasn't easy to track down a copy of that out-of-print tape. I'm glad the movie was finally released on DVD in 2010 as part of the Warner Archive Collection. Get yourself a copy if you have the chance. You won't regret it!
