I find the plot summary of the movie extremely inaccurate and ignorant. No wonder many didn’t like it and gave it bad reviews, if they’re going in with the mindset that James was “blinded by obsession for the superficial”. That’s honestly the most ridiculous thing I’ve read and the last thing I thought about watching it.‬ If that's what you truly believe then go watch it again with open mind and imagine yourself in his shoes.

Any who, the ending with everything fading to black was equally terrifying and heartbreaking. What a wonderful, thought provoking, brilliantly acted and executed film. To lose something you’ve never known is one thing, but to live with it and lose it TWICE is another. I can't even begin to describe how much I've loved this. Doesn't deserve its low rating.

It's a thought-provoking film, though a little short-sighted. We didn't see much of James' character before he regained his sight, so it's hard to quantify much of the change that takes place within him. Still, Dan Stevens is good, as always, and perhaps my own perception was skewed while watching the film. For now, however, I think it was a competently told parable, but one without 20/20 vision.

7/10

Although the slow pacing storytelling,i really find this movie is good. The ending somehow leaves me unsatisfied and questions.I really think about this movie after days watching it for no reason, theres a reason actually but i just cant find it.Everytime i think about this movie,it gives the same feeling as i got from heartbreak.

Pretty good movie in my humble opinion.

This movie tried to enact a metaphor, but, despited a good cast the storytelling was painfully slow and obvious. I was bored. I give it a 5 (meh) out of 10.
