The Transporter 2002

Love this. Basically a Jackie Chan movie in English with a white guy

I felt like I was watching a low budget Hong Kong action flick from the sixties, how did such a terrible movie ever get two sequels? It is one of the worst films I've ever seen. I only paid 3 dollars for it and I still feel like screaming at the makers of this film to give me back my money.

Starts off okay but once you get maybe 60% of the way through the movie it quickly devolves into a goofy, C-grade, choreographed-looking martial arts flick.

Whoever scored this flick must have a dent in their head. Lackadaisical techno for high paced action scenes? What were they thinking?

Some fight scenes are really well choreographed, and more than makeup for ... well, all the rest. The soundtrack isn't terrible either

Cheesy unrealistic euro action thriller. He transports, he fights, and he some how evades the law at every turn. Just turn off your brain and you'll be just fine

Jason Statham is The Transporter in this adrenaline fueled action film from writer/producer Luc Besson. The story follows a driver who specializes in transporting packages, no questions asked; however he gets more than he bargained for when a "package" turns out to be a kidnapped woman. Statham gives a strong performance, and his stunt work is especially impressive. In fact, all of the fight choreography is exceptionally good; but it's undercut by a mundane and lifeless score that has no energy. Though The Transporter is a stereotypical action film in a lot of ways, Statham's charisma gives it an extra boost.

Extremely unrealistic and "over the top"! Forget this crap, there are so much better action movies out there.

I am one for a mindless cheesy B action movie, but this one is just boring. There is virtually no plot, characters' reasoning and actions only exist to keep the film going, the pacing is weird, it holds no tension, the ending is rushed; nothing about is actually entertaining other than some cool asthetic shots. The only salvageable thing out of this mess is Jason Statham fighting choreography. Dude knows how to put on a show.

You know what you usually don't want? Being bored during an action flick. The whole movie is just very boring and weird. The scene with the rope, where she leaves her out of his sight and she can just removes the rope, rediculous. Someone like him would know that happen. Horrible action, acting and plot. How this got 2 more movies made, very interesting.

Bland and forgettable, will never watch again

"Transportation is a precise business."

There are two sides of a coin for this. One side: Precise driver that is calculated and fights like a maniac. The other side: Insane unrealistic non stop action that takes you out of the film. It starts off feeling a little more grounded then gets out of control.

I tend to like movies that star Jason Statham. Be it action or comedy (or for the best...a combination) Statham manages to save just about any script. There's just something charming about the character he usually plays.

The Transporter is not one of his best. Oh...it entertaining enough, but it has a weird pacing and the only actors that know how to act are Statham and François Berléand. The action is ok, and some of the martial arts scenes are actually very entertaining. BUT...the the thing that really saves this movie from "just-another-forgettable-action-movie-pile" is the chemistry between Statham and Berléand.

This is one of the best action films I've seen in a long time and it was my first with Jason Statham, who instantly became one of my most fav action movie actors. Especially after I found out that I actually had already seen him before in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
