The Young Vagabond is a hard movie to recommend. Not only is it devoid of any real story, but the martial art is not all that interesting.
The first hour or so, is filled with slapstick comedy that isn't really going anywhere and whatever martial arts there is, is rather uninteresting. After that, we get a little less comedy and a something that resembles a plot starting to form. Then we get the last ten minutes, which turns very dark, very quickly. The fights in this last part is what ends up being the main attraction of The Young Vagabond for me.
Apart from the fact that it has Gordon Liu. The Young Vagabond is nothing much to talk about. I like the showdown at the end, but you need to get through a lot of nonsense to get to the good parts.
