They Look Like People 2016

This one is not a horror movie, which in fact makes it even more thrilling. It is a movie about mental illness, friendship and trust.

The film shows very authentically how the illness presents itself to the affected person.
Combined with the other main character (who by no means shows completely healthy behavior either), this results in a subtle tension that lasts until the last scene.

I think it shows a pretty good views on mental illness.

Excellent psychological thriller. More emotionally disturbing than scary. 7/10 stars.

I went into it after hearing great things and I was not disappointed. More than anything, it is a movie about friendship and it is far more moving than most horror films, while also managing to maintain a sense of dread from beginning to end. A definite must-see for psychological horror fans.
