This is... garbage. Couldn't even finish it.
OMG, it hurts watching this. I couldn't even watch until the end, quit at the half. Not even funny at all. The only funny thing I can remember was "Hey, does this coke smell funny?"
People have to realize what they're about to watch before they go into it. The actors are playing exaggerated versions of themselves. It's not meant to be Academy Award winning gold. It's supposed to be ridiculous fun. And it is. I mean, there's a giant ceramic penis. What do you expect? I laughed so much. You just can't take a movie like this seriously. It's purely for stupid laughs.
literally.. what the fuck did i just watch..
Complete waste of time! Bad movie!
what are you talking about??? was terrible movie.... i could not finished... what a waste of time...
I didnt enjoy it ....lost 120 minutes from my life watching it.....
I love just how absurd everything is and all the little things that make this hilarious.
Terrible , I couldn't complete the movie.
It wasn't terrible, but not any good either. I can see what they were going for and while it certainly got a couple of laughs from me, many of the jokes fell flat. It's definitely not for everyone, and you can really guess whether you'll like it or not from the synopsis or poster, so think about that before you go in.
James Franco movies keep getting worse even though I liked him once. :( If I was watching this movie alone I had stopped after less than 30 minutes in, the acting is absolutely horrible. only watchable when it's too late at night to think properly. I'm afraid the creators threw a couple million dollars into the trash!
Very bad movie. Due to pretty high score in here i watched it and was wondering how can this movie get 7-8 score.
Acting was horrible.
I could not relate to the main characters (it was partially due to them-self and actors acting out them, but mainly due to script of the movie that did not allow me to relate to them)
There were several "shouting scenes" where everyone just yells all around. Supposed to create tension? Blah
It seams directors depleted their entire budget on last 15min graphics, but the rest of the movie was horrible. I could feel it being the set with cameras. One of the worst was the "front entrance doors" in the house. While behind it was supposed to be city under Armageddon, it was clear and visible that behind it is just end of stage with smoke and flame creating stage equipment.
The only plus of the movie is the idea of biblical Armageddon.
By my account bad movie on almost all fronts
Wow... I don't even know where to start. I did understand that this was going to be some kind of parody, but I figured it might at least be a bit of easy entertainment. I did manage to see it through to the end, with a little help and distraction from my phone, and that is the only reason I've decided to give it a weak, oh so weak 2.
I wasn't expecting too much of this movie, and it delievered exactly what suposed to: a nonsense and somewhat enjoyable comedy. The especial effects were outstanding, but the plot lacks any development or something that makes us want to watch more. They should've have focus more on the outside world, on their journey to redemption, but instead they choose to take the easy road and lock them up in James Franco fortress.
worst moovie ever just lost 2 hrs of my time.
Worst movie ever
wtf.. this is trash. the worst fking movie ever.
I liked it for two reasons: 1) It's fucking funny. 2) BACKSTREET'S BACK ALLRIGHT!
"Your mama's pussy was the canvas. Your dad's dick was the paintbrush. Boom. You're the art."
Mindy Kaling, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Rihanna, Michael Cera, Jonah Hill, Seth Rogan, Danny McBride, Jay Baruchel, Channing Tatum, Aziz Ansari, the Backstreet Boys, Craig Robinson, Jason Segel, Paul Rudd, Kevin Hart, James Franco and David Krumholtz.
A fun stoner apocalypse film with a stacked cast. Craig Robinson was my favorite and Mindy Kaling being in there was amazing. But let's not forget the epic ending in heaven with the Backstreet Boys!
If you enjoy Seth Rogen movies and like actors to play themselves over the top, this is the one for you. Michael Cera will blow your mind!
Ok. Dumb movie. Shit plot but watch it for the star ensemble and hilarity
Do not take this film seriously, just sit down and get ready to laugh at these celebrities playing exaggerated versions of themselves in an end of the world scenario. I can't pick a favourite in this film because everyone is so perfect but I have to admit Rihana kinda shocked me for the small amount of time she is in the film and James Franco had me laughing a lot throughout the film for sure, even Seth Rogan who I am not a fan of is really great in this film.
Give it a watch if you want something to make you laugh and definitely the funniest end of the world film.
There are a few moments that were genuinely funny. One of them was a reference to the ”Green hornet”. Besides that, it is pretty generic, but if you are bored on a Saturday night this and few beers might do the job.
One of the most stupid and harmful movies I've ever seen!
PS. -1 for the ending
É uma droga, não assistam! Não sei por que tá com essa nota. Eu só ri mesmo no final.
So terrible it's almost good. Only watch with friends and a big bag of popcorn, then it might be enjoyable.
James Franco and the Backstreet Boys were awesome, that's it.
so bad it's almost good
this movie is a PUNCH OF CRAP
wtf did i just watched?
This is worst movie I saw in years. If you saw the trailer, than you watched all funny moments in whole movie. I reccomend not to watch this "movie".
Story is bad, acting is bad, almost everything
Funny parts.......gets pretty ridiculous
I went into this prepared to hate it. To my suprise it started out quite fun (despite being a huge circle jerk), props to Michael Cera for that. As the movie goes along it got quite stale and the last third was just plain atrocious. And fuck that horrible CG.
No me gisto
The guys play it straight, ala SHAUN OF THE DEAD, & there are a number of homages, the most obvious being STAR TREK III & ROSEMARY'S BABY. Certainly a vanity project, which is ironic given the theme of the narrative, but it's very well done.
Stoner movie. Love it! :grin::grin::grin::grin::grin:
I wouldn't recommend it, silly as expected. Just not a good movie.
Holy shit, American culture is the worst thing this universe has ever seen and will be the end of mankind.
Like toddlers giggling about poo poo jokes.
Please go extinct already.
gots to watch this on shrooms you'll probably get a different perspective
Totally silly. My favorite part was Emma Watson stealing all their stuff.
I can't stand Danny McBride. I find him to be loud, obnoxious, and remarkably unfunny. It's like the kiss of death for any entertainer. The rest of this was nothing special. I like Jay Baruchel, but there wasn't much of anything funny about this.
I will rate this film (Nice) Devils cock/10
I watched this movie on an edible last year and I had a crisis about death and the afterlife. I had to go to therapy afterwards and realized I am afraid of dying.
Lol this movie funny tho I love Danny Mcbride and Craig
All I can say is "this is a movie"...
there is a ton of gross out humor and very crude humor which I'm usually not a fan of But I still have a lot of fun with this movie I really like the idea that everybody in the movie is playing themselves Just a bunch of self-centered Hollywood actors who get left behind after the rapture lol
I can see how a movie like this gets made. It's a fun premise and to shoot a film in your own backyard means celebrity cameos galore...
But this doesn't quite work. It's fun for about 20 minutes and then it starts to drag. The dialogue seems improvised at times which leads to some characters repeating rhw same lines - mostly James Franco.
It picks up when Danny McBride is in it, he really lifts the comedy.
This came out the same year as The World's End. In terms of quality there's no comparison. And a loosely similar concept though no way related. I'd take World's End all day, every day.
6/10
First time re-watch since the year of its release. Like a lot of Rogen and company's films, I think this works far better if you fit one or two descriptions: happy-intoxicated or just in the mood for something completely mindless. Last night I was both, and man did it hit a sweet spot.
Of course, the opening party scene has all the great spots - actors and celebrities poking fun at themselves and the vapid public image that typifies their slice of pop culture - but it also functions well when the crowd is significantly reduced and the plot shifts from a snappy ensemble comedy to a much smaller crew in the midst of a disaster. The shift from dialog-driven laughs to a frantic survival parody is so sudden, the only thing I can compare it to is the infamous directorial shift of From Dusk Till Dawn. This is the End, though, pulls off that wheel jerk more than once. Of course, such swerves cause the storyline to spiral completely out of control, but that unpredictability is partially what makes it so stupidly entertaining. Not something I'd want to watch most nights, but it's also more consistently knee-slap funny than I remembered.
It's so stupid, I love it.
Hilarious and original, which is all it was meant to be. For anyone who can truly appreciate a hilarious movie which is made specifically to humor and entertain people, and has no other hidden agenda whatsoever, this is definitely a must watch.
The movie was damn stupid but I had a lot of fun watching this with my buddies. A little boring towards the middle but the beginning and ending make it.
this should be a cult movie!
this film is only good you watch, if you want to die laughing :D
This movie played with my mind!!!!!
So freaking funny.
Laughed my way through this movie.
Super entertaining, funny and the ending was fresh. Loved it.
I've only seen it because my brother said I would love the end since it was "epic" (his word) and there was a bit of bromance, but I had to endure an hour and a half of crude jokes. But yeah, the end and Emma Watson's cameo were really worth the crude jokes.
This is by far the funniest movie I've ever seen. Yes it's a bit offensive and crude. But if you watch it for just entertainment, it is hilarious! If I could rate it 15/10, I would!
The beginning of the movie it was a little bit weird, but it is really funny! It worth !
Laughed throughout almost the whole movie. Found it very hilarious.
This Is The End was released in here just last thursday and I was waiting for it to hit the cinemas for so long! I was tempted to watch it many times before but something told me that I should wait to go see it at the theatre and it was worth the wait!
It was so hilarious!
The CGI is very poor and it might be predictable but it keeps you entertained and constantly laughing. Some of the dialogues and some of the scenes are so stupid and yet so funny! Some quotes are just fantastic!
I love all of the guys, all are great together, they always make me laugh but Danny McBride was and usually is who makes me wanna laugh more.
And the end was EPIC! I didn't see that ending coming! If you haven't seen it yet I don't wanna spoil anything but you won't be expecting that, at least I wasn't. Great!
it was really good :) loved the end
This movie was truly great!
Funniest movie I've ever seen. It's no acting award winner, but hilarious!
This movie has some really dark moments, made even darker that the actors are playing themselves (even if it is caricatures of themselves). Despite this, the movie plays really well and was very funny.
I knew going into it that it would be some stupid comedy. While watching it though I was very surprised. Story was insane and the actors did a good job.
I laughed over 10 minutes when Michael Cera said "I got sucked":)))
It was surprisingly funny. And who doesn't like Backstreet Boys?
Was it stupid? Yes. Was it absolutely hilarious? Yes! Film review at http://breakawaydaily.com
Well worth a watch, pretty laugh out loud funny and some great special effects. Ending is epic haha
hey #hangover fans! this is ow you make a comedy :D
Laughed and giggled all through out. :D
Laughed and laughed and laughed.
Not a bad flick.. Go in with an open mind and you'll come out laughing your ass off.
A very broad lampoon of both hollywood and quasi-religious horror flicks, This Is The End flips a wonderfully crass middle finger at artists and arts that take themselves too seriously. It takes some time to get wound up as the "alter-egos" of our stars -- like angelic little Michael Cera as an out of control, coke-addled, douche bag -- are painfully constructed, but once it hits stride it doesn't let up. I'm a hard sell when it comes to gross-out comedies but this one induced far more belly laughs than cringes.
Very funny. It's a Pineapple Express type movie. The comedy is hit or miss, but generally good. Definitely one of the better Seth Rogan movies.
Redband Clip has just been released, freakin' funny!

This movie is sooooo damn bad. I wonder why it got > 60%. Not funny at all.
