A classic ‘80s screwball comedy, ¡Three Amigos! delivers a ton of laughs. Mistaking the silent movie stars the Three Amigos for real-life gunslingers, a woman from a small Mexican village seeks out their help in combating a group of bandits. Starring Steve Martin, Chevy Chase, and Martin Short, the casting is quite impressive. Written by SNL creator Lorne Michaels, the comedy is especially good and is tailored to the strengths of each of the lead actors. Still, the story’s formulaic and predictable, and there are some problems with the tone and pacing. Yet while it has a few issues, ¡Three Amigos! is incredibly fun and entertaining.
