All the dreams you've ever had and not just the good ones.
In Terry Gilliam's fantastic voyage through time and space, a boy escapes from his gadget-obsessed parents to join a band of time-traveling dwarves. On their journey, they visit Napoleon (Ian Holm), Robin Hood (John Cleese) and King Agamemnon (Sean Connery), among other popular figures. It's a giddy, visually outrageous fairy tale, a revisionist history lesson and a satire on technology gone awry -- all wrapped into one adventure.

By all means bad movie, i understand its background and the whole ten yards but it was barely watchable

Kind of a shame really, because I was hoping for a lot more. I didn't think this movie sucked, but it just really has some waves of interest. The sequence with Robin Hood was hillarious and great from start to end. But they you get into a sequence on a boat with beauty and the beast which is pretty boring. Here's a intro to a crazy funny villian, and then we get another boring scene on a boat.

I really thought I'd be in for something awesome based on reviews and talk. I don't know where that came from. Was this just because of when it came out or something? Who knows. I'd just say give it a watch if you're super into Terry Gilliam, or if you are looking for something to fill the screen while you're doing your taxes.

This movie FREAKED ME THE HELL OUT as a kid. I mean, come on, his parents being barbecued? The guys coming out of your bedroom wall? Wow.

Childhood trauma aside, it's a great movie. Classic Terry Gilliam.
