List of Movies AV Club didn't review in 2018, but are considered good.
If you watched every film The A.V. Club reviewed in 2018, you’d walk away with a fairly comprehensive grasp of the year in movies. But it wouldn’t be a complete one. Because for as much as we aim to write about all the new cinema that matters, plenty of gems slip through the cracks in our coverage plan. And so once annually, we atone for our oversights with a rundown of the best of what we didn’t review over the previous 11 months, singling out movies that opened in American theaters or premiered on streaming platforms—and, when possible, pointing readers toward where they can watch them now. This year, the list includes unconventional sports documentaries, Netflix rom-coms, challenging arthouse experiments, sleeper thrillers, and one shocking supercut of vehicular mayhem. Think of it as an alternate best-of list for 2018, as well as a belated showcase for the under-the-radar films that should have been on our radar from the start.
Netflix is an American global Internet streaming-on-demand media provider that has distributed a number of original programs, including original series, specials (including stand-up comedy specials), miniseries and documentaries and films. Netflix's original productions also include continuations of canceled series from other networks, as well as licensing or co-producing content from international broadcasters for exclusive broadcast in other territories, which is also branded in those regions as Netflix original content. Netflix previously produced content through Red Envelope Entertainment. Netflix's first original content series was House of Cards, released in 2013. The company has since increased its original content. All programming is in English unless stated otherwise, is organized by its primary genre or format and is sorted by premiere date.
As of 01/24/19 this list includes all 12 pages of Trakt Network results for Netflix, as well as the Drama-Specials sections of Wikipedia's list of Original Films distributed by Netflix.

As a genre, the romantic comedy has had pretty sharply defined highs (the 1940s and 1980s) and lows (1990s-2000s) based on viewer appetite and studio competence, but thanks to this thing we call “the human condition,” hope-laden fables showing how two people can, indeed, find and cherish one another despite all obstacles will never stay out of fashion long—no matter how soulless and cynical the industry. Whether because we are young and naïve, not-so-young and searching, or old and grumpy with a soft spot (or wistful memory), there’s always an appetite for fascinating meet-cutes, resolved comedies of errors and melted gruff exteriors. So no matter your particular poison when it comes to scripted takes on love and relationships, let Paste’s list of the 100 Best Romantic Comedies of All Time provide you just what the doctor ordered.
List published April 2013. Updated and expanded in October 2018
