The ending frustrated me but despite that slip-up, this was an enjoyable and engaging movie.
I went into this without any expectations, I knew nothing about it and the premise sounded okay but by the end I was fully in love with this story and these characters. This is definitely a new comfort movie for me.
When they first started getting closer I was prepared for it to take a romantic route(it's to be expected and it's been done so many times before) but I'm so glad it didn't.
In conclusion: It was great and we need more platonic love stories
Taking a restrained approach, the two leads carry this movie by sheer force of charm and chemistry. Also some unconventional takes within the structures of the romcom genre. And the ending is open-ended enough to leave us wondering.
I started watching this because Ed Helms was in it. It was a waste of time.Stopped watching after 30 minutes. This looks like one of those artsy profound kind of turds only the Sundance film festival would flag as great.
What the- it shouldn't have ended like that! Loved it. I guess it leaves it up to interpretation, I guess.
Trying to get through it, cringe meter is breaking. Just reached the 11 minute mark, about to bail out. EDIT/UPDATE: Made it to 12 minutes and I'm calling it.
It's slow, but feels more real, because it takes time to develop a relationship. A really good movie.
really great movie tbh, felt like a dramedy episode but a little better.
I made it through 25 minutes of this movie - I'll never get that time back. It wasn't at all funny so it can't be considered a comedy. There was nothing dramatic about it so it certainly isn't a drama. In the end it reminded me of Knocked Up - a movie that annoyed the ever-living expletive out of me because of how annoying it is. The only bright spot is Patti Harrison.
