I like that the film tried to do something that was at least a little bit different than what has been done before. I did enjoy the long scenes - I think they added to the gritty feel of the film. Some of the professional reviews said that Hawkes carried the movie - I did not come away thinking that. If anything I think the actresses really stole the film.
A real puzzle of a movie. Chronologically its out of order but that doesn't really matter, confusing though it is. For once the viewer has to do a little bit of work to piece it all together and when everything falls into place the film is quite rewarding. A true original.

In addition to the already noted only 5 frames for the entire film, I liked the story itself, carefully written down to the smallest detail, parts of which are deliberately mixed up in places. As if sheets fell out of a shabby pulpbook and were then collected in a different order. The events seem to be insignificant, but the drama came out real
