Trolls 2016

It has been a long time since I last saw so many colours in one movie. I don't think I ever saw so many colours in one movie to be honest. I loved it though. Trolls made me laugh, almost cry but mostly very happy. It's a kids movie but I'm sure most adults will love it too. There are jokes in there most adults will find funnier then the kids will find them, I think.

It's a great cast. I was so surprised by Zooey Deschanel as Bridget, she was amazing! Although some parts were literally a bit of a "I'm on drugs" like experience, I found Trolls to be super funny, very happy and a great enjoyment. (Also very well and creatively made)

I watched this because it has an Oscar nomination song, Can't Stop the Feeling, and I was in the mood for a good animated movie. Unfortunately, I was disappointed on all fronts. The music was recycled. The song, written for the movie, was just more of the same. The texture of animation was interesting but the story was lame and they didn't even try to mine any iconic Troll lore. It featured some pretty outstanding musical talent, but the whole thing was flat. Sorry, I can only muster up a 5 (meh) out of 10.

Kids will love because it’s colorful and had okay music. As an adult I won’t be going back to this one. In my opinion it’s very overrated.

I like it. Reminds me of an episode of the Smurfs where they have to avoid being eaten. It's probably even more like the Smurfs than the Smurfs movies were.
Trolls is also way better than a troll doll based movie has a right to be.

First off, my kids (daughter almost 4, and son 18 months) absolutely loved it. It was colorful, bright, and the music was really catchy. The story was easy for them to follow. There were funny beats for the adults, too. Some of the musical montages were a little overboard, however, and it made me think that whoever was the style designer for this was on ALL the drugs. It really showed the Trolls aesthetic from the 60s.

Entertaining and toe-tapping. It's one that if the kids want to watch, I'll make sure to have a book handy, but will invariably end up with the music stuck in my head.

A fun feel good movie with a simple story but great music. You can tell they really worked on the music and choreography. You just want to get up and dance every time a music number comes up. The story is nothing special but the music more then makes up for it and perfect for kids and I for one enjoyed it, you walk out with a smile and kicked to your walk. Anna Kendrick & Justin Timberlake played their characters very well.

It's as if somebody poured rainbow dust into my eyes and then topped it off with glitter! Not awful, kids will love it, but I need to watch something monochrome to wash away the colour.

Much much better than I thought would be. Really sweet characters and interesting storylines (although a bit cliche) and actually fitting songs. Cute and moving at times too.

Happiness is in all of us, but sometimes you need someone to bring it out in you. Oh my, that was one of the colourful-est, and cutest movies I've ever seen! I wasn't a fan of the reality troll dolls in my childhood, they came off creepy. The sense of humour in this film was spot on, and the song mix covers were a good laugh. I never want to grow up!

Trolls doesn't exactly create a very original story. I found there to be a lot of similarities between this film and the first two Shrek movies but it is a fun and optimistic ride for 90 minutes. There is a lots of great songs along the way with Anna Kendrick delivering a great voice over performance and she holds her own with her singing voice.

This was a fun movie with great music and lots of dancing but I had a couple issues with it. One was the fact that sparkles came out of their butts. I watched this movie with my kids and they kept asking why they kept showing their butts and why sparkles came out of their butts and it was an awkward comversation to say the least and completely unneccesary and irrelevant to the movie.

Film 77 (Goal: 300) of 2024

Cheating with this one a little but my niece had me watch this, and while I missed portions due to kids shouting over the audio, for the majority I got the gist what was going on. Not going to say too much other than my niece and nephew thoroughly enjoyed this, and it was easy enough to watch on my end. The "True Colors" scene had my niece and nephew completely silent and spellbound and even I think that was the best scene in the movie.

Actually it's a simple but really good movie?

A normal kids movie with a lot of predictable things, but is way too enjoyable, I will rate this movie Gray to Rainbow/10
