Twice-Told Tales 1963

A three-story anthology all of which star Vincent Price. The stories presented in order are "Dr. Heidegger's Experiment", "Rappaccini's Daughter" and "House of the Seven Gables". I'm a fiend for Horror Anthologies and I enjoyed this. None of this was particularly frightening, almost all old Horror isn't. But this was a consistent collection and enjoyable in kind of an innocent way.

This anthology has no wraparound story. Instead, each are introduced with a skeleton's hand turning to title pages in an old story book. It was a very simple way to do it, but I thought it looked neat.

My favorite story is "Dr. Heidegger's Experiment". It was the only one of the three to at least be a little eerie. There's not a stinker here, just nothing overly noteworthy.

Enjoyable anthology. Worth a watch for Price fans, or fans of these kinds of horror anthologies.
