This could have been a great car movie. Instead, they made a overly dramatised depiction of Lamborghini's personal affairs that no car enthusiast really cares about.

I expected so much from this, but it was very disappointing. Basically a fluff piece that gives you very little behind the scenes of this great company. More focused on Ferruccio Lamborghini's womanizing than anything else.

5/10

the movie is incredibly flat. so many moments are just boring, and badly acted.

also for a movie that narrates an Italian figure, the Italian dub is atrocious.

kinda disappointing. the movie had moments that could have been really interesting, like the birth of the miura, and everything just felt insanely washed up.

missed opportunity

"The name Lamborghini lives on in the hearts of automobile lovers and enthusiasts everywhere..."
but this movie will not.

Surprisingly dull...this movie runs out of gas way before the closing credits start to roll.

Was hoping for a good bio pic, something to show us the development of the cars as well as the man behind them. Unfortunately it was a complete bore, luckily only 90 minutes long.Acting was pretty pitiful, and no pace to the film at all. The characters age anachronistically it seems. could have been so much better.

Lamborghini: The Man Behind The Legend is one of the worst movies of this year. It has some peculiarities that make it a bad film, one above all the actor's performances. I saw the film in Italian, I don't know if unfortunately or fortunately, because while on the one hand I'm pleased that there are so many Italian actors in the cast, on the other hand the fact that we acted in English forbids me a lot. Even the Italian dubbing is one of the worst ever heard. The direction is not exciting and is rather basic, like the very basic soundtrack. It lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes but in some moments time seems to never pass, especially in the first part; ok: Lamborghini is paying homage to us with a biopic, but this is a bit too much. For the rest, if I have to point out some positives it is the performance of Frank Grillo, quite credible, but for the rest I find it really difficult to find some merit.

One of the worst movies of the year. While many reviews have mentioned the lack of any real story arch, and lack of focus on the cars this movie is much, much worse than that. The acting is terrible, why a story is based in Italy is spoken in English with Italian accents was a strange choice. These unfortunately are a delight compared to the atrocious New Zealand accent… a character introduced that ends up servicing no purpose, but to randomly disappear to never return. Character development seems to have completely slipped the mind of the writer, which is probably for the best as the director struggled just to give any driving scenes a sense of speed. The only redeeming quality of this movie was that it was over quickly.

You will have more fun spending 90 minutes on the side of the motorway watching cars go by than you will watching this film.

I'm a car enthusiast. Making a movie about Ferruccio Lamborghini, one of the great individuals of automotive history, and then only giving it ninety minutes of running time is a tough ask.

And that's where my main problem with the movie lies - it's too short. I think there is enough story for another half hour or even a mini series. Everything happens so fast and you never really feel the excitement and passion that should be associated with the name Lamborghini. It just highlights three or four elements from Feruccio's life in a short fassion almost like the wikipedia entry was the basis for the script.

The movie looks convincing and I even had some good laughs ("If your grades don't get better I buy you a Ferrari"). Frank Grillo is good as Lamborghini but I don't see Enzo when I look at Gabriel Byrne.

It's not alltogether awful but even as an enthusiast I don't think you really need to see this.
