i dont get it, its just boring.
What a fantastic and unique slow-burn horror movie. It takes its time, is filled with great performances and a score that invokes dread. It's solid.
Wow what an ending. Shocked.
Terrific atmospheric thriller that sticks with you long after.
It's hard to just keep an interest in watching.
I'm not sure how they did it but somehow they were able to make a movie about ritualistic cannibalism boring! What an impressive feat honestly.

After making the enjoyable Stake Land (http://trakt.tv/movie/stake-land-2010) Jim Mickle went on to adapt the Mexican Somos lo que hay (http://trakt.tv/movie/we-are-what-we-are-2010) and I'm quite happy to see that he deceided to add his own flavor to it. Basicly everything except the ritual is different in this one. Roles have been swapped, the setting, thematics aswell for the gender and ages of the kids. It's even more so a macabre family drama than the original (from what I can remember) and ends up being a strong genre film. I would recommend watching them both since they feel very different.
