Can we please appreciate that opening title song by Streisand? That's perhaps the best scene in this movie (oh ... And the concept of a service hotel door - that's awesome too). It's supposed to be a comedy or a romantic comedy. Problem is: it ain't funny. It's silly - but not in a good way. I mean I get it (if you don't get it wait until you see the grand pursuit), it's an hommage of some sort to those silly screwballs comedies from before the war and perhaps even to cartoons, but the movie is really bad at it. Better watch the Naked Gun if you wanna see really absurd and silly stories that progressively become more chaotic. Barbra Streisand's energetic performance can't save this movie. But boy can she sing.
