While I feel this film did a great job at showcasing Carl Cox and his career, it doesn't expand outside of mainstream EDM as it may suggest. Jabs are rightfully taken at those who have exploited, and perpetuate the 'EDM' fad but really missed the mark of featuring anything 'underground.' Missing were a single mention of any other style of dance music. It's a real shame the likes of Andy C, The Prodigy, or Goldie (a Member of the Order of the British Empire after all) weren't even an afterthought despite having their own very significant influence on the culture worldwide. The soundtrack is 'energetic,' but nothing short of Top 40 and misrepresents 'What We Started' in leui of 'What We've Become.' Despite the critique, still a recomended watch because it does feature prominent artists giving valuable input for fans and outside inquiring minds alike.
