Wolf 1994

With another director this movie could be on of the best.But still a enjoyable and well excecuted movie :)

The movie is weak, but Jack can play the role of any freak. ;)

There have been so many werewolf movies in the past decades that it's hard to stand out from the pack. The rather boringly titled 1994 film "Wolf" certainly has a few trump cards in this regard. The cast, for example, is respectable, at least on paper. Jack Nicholson and Michelle Pfeiffer in the main roles, as well as actors like James Spader or Christopher Plummer in supporting roles, are quite something. And a score by Ennio Morricone is also a selling point, for starters.

Despite all these ingredients, the film didn't really click for me. Nicholson is okay, even if he seems a bit bored, but especially his chemistry with Pfeiffer, I didn't feel at all. Overall, the film also takes too much time with its narrative; a faster pace would have certainly done it good. The werewolf transformation looks solid in terms of effects, but not exactly outstanding either. Even the score by Maestro Morricone seems somehow arbitrary. I also found the finale very badly staged, so I look at the end of the film even more negatively than I would have thought at the beginning. It had the potential to be so much better.

I really like how they portrayed the werewolf story in this, yet I feel like no one knows this movie. Jack Nicholson, Michelle Pfeiffer and James Spade are what make this film interesting. Without their charm, I am not sure how it would've turned out.

The performances are fine. The direction and musical score. Made Wolf even feel outdated in 1994 though.

A bizarre, but interesting spin on the werewolf genre. I guess it also plays as a satire on the cutthroat nature of the business world and what becoming a wild creature in this atmosphere would be like. Nicholson is great in the role.

I love fantasy genre. This film is intense and I love the chemistry between Jack Nicholson and Michelle Pfeiffer. I also really love the music.

Love this movie. Unfortunately, What's supposed to be "Wolf,", is instead a Dutch, sub-titled different film.

Wolf is a bit slow and even felt outdated in 1994 when it was released. Jack Nicholson and Michelle Pfeiffer had great chemistry at least and the performances were good.
