Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop was an easy going, cheesy, romance between the main characters Smile and Cherry, which also explored their self-journey of overcoming shame. For Cherry, he struggled to verbally express himself and wore headphones to seperate himself from others, also he lacked self-confidence in his haikuus(which he wrote to express how he feels) because of how others didnt really appreciate his work online, he gradually uses his headphones less and less throughout the film as he hangs out with Cherry, with this concluding in Cherry publicly overcoming this at the end of the film as he shouts out his confession to Cherry on stage. Smile is shameful of her buck-teeth and worried people will judge her for it, even though online people admired it when she was younger, and she wears a mask to hide her teeth through the film, but through her spending time with Cherry, she at the end of the film gets the confidence to remove her mask to Cherry, no longer feeling shameful about it. The side characters were pretty one-dimensional throughout the film, only assisting the main duo complete their goals. The Old man looking for the vinyl of his wife was a funny guy, i felt bad for him struggling with losing memories of his (now-dead) wife and his fruitless efforts to find the vinyl that would bring back those memories, im glad at the final act of the film he was able to get it back. My favorite part of this film was definelty the animation though, the dynamic expressive movements of all the characters was beautifully done, events like the chasing sequence with beaver and the cop, and Cherry's expressive movements as he confessed to Smile stuck out to me as amazing moments of dynamic animation. Also the cinematography was top-tier with the film changing perspectives to first-person, and using different camera layout in ways that enhanced my enjoyment of the film, like the side by side slides of Cherry and Smile at the end of the film, and the montage of Cherry and Smile communicating with eachoother and hanging out being nice. The soundtrack was probably nice too, but it didnt really stick out to me, it just did it's job. Overall, it was a decent experience to watch on a weekday which Im glad I checked out.
such vivid colors, and a rather unusual color palette for an anime movie, but it fits perfectly well with this film, i loved it!
the art and colour scheme are simply beautiful, the story was fine, sweet, but nothing too special.
Beautiful art, and I loved the story... just wonderful storytelling.
Absolutely delightful. Gorgeous art direction and animation and very likeable characters. I cried like a baby at the end. Can't recommend it enough!
So love it and cool storie!

A little overdramatic but with a wonderful plot. Best part was the art which made this movie an unique watch.
