The Wrestling Classic 1985

I basically started watching wrestling - on a regular basis - in the early 80's, so this particular card was "vintage" wrestling for me. That being said, this was pretty difficult to get through as this was the "early days" of the WWF (a very young Vince McMahon is proof of that!) and they were far from the polished "sports entertainment" system that is now the WWE. The matches looked very stiff and awkward, the interviews were worse, and the "between matches" spots with Vince McMahon, Alfred Hays, and whomever "Susan" was...wow, that was just terrible. Even on an "entertainment" scale you can't rate this very highly because, frankly, it was just bad. Not sorry I watched it (HINT: It's easier if you watch it in short bursts and not all at once) but I doubt I would ever watch it again; the matches just weren't interesting enough. Even the "championship" match between Hulk Hogan and Roddy Piper was a stinker, and the way the "tournament" concluded was nothing short of just CHEAP. Just ruined the entire event, IMO.
