Elena Williamson Davis (born 24 December 1992) is an English fashion model and actress. Davis first began modelling at age eighteen in an editorial shot by Bruce Weber for IMG London, Milano and Sydney. She signed with Storm Model Management in 2011. She worked in the industry for a year before booking a paying job and went through two seasons of castings before landing her first runway show. After two years of modelling, Davis made her TV debut in season 4 of Downton Abbey as Cordelia Esme. In August 2013, Davis announced she would be voicing 'Youger' in Moshi Monsters: The Movie. In December 2014, Davis made another TV debut in Peter Pan Live, playing Tiger Lily. Davis then went on to play the part of Cora in the British science fiction thriller short film The Secret Of Ganymede which was released 10 June 2015. The following year, she starred in London Survival. The film received mixed reviews, but many critics commended Davis's performance. The film aired on Channel 4 and was designed to raise awareness of gang crime. Davis's most successful performance was in the TV musical comedy-drama series Spotlight as Beca Hudson, one of the show's female leads. Davis played the protagonist of the show, leading an ensemble cast including Jasmin Lowson, Reece King, Adam Rechit, Tyler Hevalow, Ellie Gall, and more. She played Beca Hudson, Teenage girl who's just moved to Toronto, Canada and is attending her first day at Frankley High school, and joined by the rest of her classmates, they plan to spend their days reflecting their experiences, hopes, and fears about the future. Davis was nominated for the 2016 Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Television Series Musical Comedy for her role as Beca. From her prefoamce in Spotlight, she went on to star in the musical film Days Are Gone At the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2018, Davis was featured in two films. She starred opposite Tyler Jon Olson in the musical romance The 1975 Dance, which garnered widespread critical acclaim for her performance. She also played a supporting role in the drama-thriller Twenty Ome Murder Lane starring Jack Hallett and Wendy Schenker which was eventually given a wide release for September 2018, while The 1975 Dance received a limited release for November 2018. Davis made an appearance as her character Beca Hudson in an episode of Spotlight season three, along side other season one members. Davis is set to star in the horror TV series I Know What You Did, which is an adaptation of the film I Know What You Did Last Summer, along side Jack Raynor, Cindy Bruna and Shaun Tomson, which will be released September, 2018.
