The end of Time is nigh as the Red Forest approaches in the fourth and final season of 12 Monkeys. After learning of a weapon that can kill the Witness, James Cole and his team embark upon one last mission. The writers do an extraordinary job at tying up the mythology, answering the big questions, and paying off the scenes of characters’ future selves in past seasons. Also, a number of actors from previous seasons return; making for some interesting Back to the Future Part 2 moments where scenes from the past are revisited from a different perspective and given new meaning. Additionally, the actors bring their A-game, doing some of their best, and the finale is epic, truly worth of the series. Arguable the best season of the series, Season 4 of 12 Monkeys sends the show out on a high note.
