Very strong show. Believable story and really intriguing.
Great acting. Is this show the reason why Tyler Hynes ("Luke Reid" in SH) left Saving Hope?
Incidentally he's a likeable guy, got obnoxious at the end in SH and is now playing a jerk. Well, at least he's still got a minor role and is rarely seen anyway.
This show focuses on the live of police officers and does so really well.
One main/overall aspect in this show is the main characters guilt and responsibility that he puts on himself for a terrible mistake he did and that is dealt with from episode one and onwards.
But it is done more or less in an episodic way and surfaces every now and then and is rather subtle at most (other) times. I like the way how that is done.
It doesn't shove it in your face at all times and gives you room to breathe and enjoy the rest of the stories that are presented but you are still very aware of that.
It is done with great care and aesthesia.
This kind of police story show is not to be confused with others like CSI or similar.
Can't wait for this to get a (hopefully) second season (adaption).
Understandable why the French original version got a lot of praise.
I just wish this'd be easier to watch for a European (who doesn't speak French) without days of delays.
Kept getting this show recommended to me by coworkers. So I finally went ahead and started watching it. WOW!!! I am hooked. Superb acting, great & believable story line, plenty of drama... what's there not to like!! Highly recommending it to anyone who enjoys police shows.
I agree with every comment listed below. Great show, one problem, not enough of it! 10 shows a season isn't enough! I'm really going to miss 19-2! I personally think its the best show on television, let alone Canadian Television!
Honestly, an amazing show. It keeps you busy figuring out what's going on the and the characters and story lines are fantastic. Great ending, hate to see it go.
The most realistic cop drama put to film because it's about beat cops and it mainly portrays them fucking up horribly. Makes an incredibly compelling case for defunding the police.
Am I the only one watching this show and constantly get annoyed by the stupidity of the writers? I mean...
The officers are handling situations in a way that doesn't seem like procedure.
The bystanders, witnesses, victims and criminals in pretty much every episode all act with arrogance, hostility toward the officers, disbelief on account of how things are done..the list goes on.. and it's not very believable. Especially when it is like that in EVERY episode. I get that they want to add a "we don't trust the police" element to the stories, but come on, knock it down a notch?
Ben, starting out as an interesting character with great development in his character, ends up in later episodes being similarly arrogant, petty and hostile toward his colleague, Nick. Without going in to details why, I can say that because of his attitude he deserves a smackdown, by Nick. He annoys the crap out of me now.
Also, 19 has to be Canada's most hostile work environment. There's too much going on at the same time to be even remotely plausible, just to force some plots through.
I'll end the rant with this though: The characters, scenery, plots and stories are all entertaining, and it's a decent enough show. You just can't take it too seriously, or you'll end up like me and be annoyed by the never ending forced drama.
I definitely would recommend watching this show! I ended up watching the show when someone showed me season 2 episode 1 after that I watched it all up to date within a week! love the show!
The BEST television show not airing on American Broadcast TV! Hunt it down and watch it. You will be telling everyone you know to watch it.

I cannot recommend this show highly enough - one of the best dramas out there.
I say drama rather than procedural as '19-2' is so much more than a 'chase down bad guys for the win' type affair.
Acting across the board is top notch with writing to match but what sets it apart for me is the technical skill evident in every episode.
The single camera/steadicam work is some of the best I've seen and often adds an almost ethereal quality to the show.
And I haven't even mentioned the 12 minute continuous shot in s02e01 - no spoilers here, but the scene in question had me amazed and terrified in equal measures.
'19-2' genuinely is a thing of raw beauty.
