24: Season 1

1x01 12:00 A.M.-1:00 A.M.

Beginning a mass re-watch of this iconic show - Episode one introduces our characters along with iconic ringtones. Plus, I can't tell you how many times I've wanted to dart one of my managers! High five jack!!

One of the best action thriller series of all time. Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer is masterful and the best thing about 24 period. I love the action pieces of this series and the amazing connectivity of the storytelling. Jack Bauer is a freakin bad ass mother fucker who always takes out his enemies. This show is one of my all-time favorites and it never gets old.

I might be a little late to the party... this episode is already of legal age . 24 never caught my atention, so I'm starting to watch it now that it's on Netflix. And I have to say, for a pilot episode, this one did a heck of a job. They introduced the main characters and their backstory, but managed to do it without wasting any time, so they also could fill it with a lot of action. Well, not "action" action, but there happened a lot of stuff. Great!

The only thing I didn't like (and sadly I believe they kept it through all the seasons), is the split screen thing. It makes it way harder to follow what's going on. I'm usually already busy watching the scene, plus reading the subtitles, plus mentally translating into my own native language, which isn't English. Add tho the mix having to follow 3 scenes instead of just 1...

3mins21 Senator David Palmer says to his wife "Thank you Rachel". In every future episode she's called Sherry..... ? For this show I'm noting the names to help follow the story, & I had his wife's name written down as Rachel, had to go back & check when he thereafter always called her Sherry. I'm watching on Disney+.
Also, the subtitles for this whole show have just a few words for a second, then the next few words for a second. Wish they would put the whole sentence to give you time to read, or even pause the whole sentence. The few words of the subtitle doesn't necessarily match what is being said on screen at the time either.

Wow 19 years later and I finally am starting to watch this show for the first time. I've heard that it's supposed to be good and have been wanting to get started on it, now I am. So far this episode was good, split screens I hate, and apparently it might do that through the entire series. I sure hope not, that will ruin it more for me. But it's nice to also see that the hot Elisha Cuthbert is also in this, I had no idea. But I'm here to watch the popular show "24" and Kiefer Sutherland, Elisha Cuthbert is just a hot bonus! Lol :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I‘ve been a fan of 24 for ages and have watched all seasons more than once. I was addicted to the show back then and now all these years later rewatching it on Netflix in HD is just a treat. I just love how the story is told over actual 24 hours and that every episode is connected to the one before. Also the characters are so well written and the soundtrack is amazing. Definitely one of the best shows of all time.

Kim got a lot of crap for always getting in trouble and Jack having to save her. God knows what trouble Teri would have got into passed season 1.
She was even worse than Kim.

Probably my most watched episode of all-time across all series. I can't get enough, and I love watching this to see how far the show came, and how it didn't change one bit.
