Watching the trailer, this really doesn’t look as good as the original at all. It’s the CW so the show looks as woke as you’d expect.
--- This is only about the Pilot so far, I'm unsure if I'll watch more --
Prelude: Well, its a CW show but there has been stuff on CW I liked so I'll give it a shot
For the first 3 Minutes literally every character who could be important (with the exception of the husband of one probably main character whom we get so see for maybe 5 seconds) is black. Not a mixture of different races - ALL of them are black.
There are so many black people involved, that round about the 10 minute mark they have one of the characters actually say "There are white folks here too"!
Now there is nothing wrong with that - there are good shows where white people are only background noise. But when they aren't on OWN, I get suspicious...
At 10 minutes my suspicions are confirmed. A woman who comes from a time where black people weren't allowed to vote is complaining about the lack of progress.
I mean, what the fuck?!? First of all, she didn't have the chance to see anything yet - how would she know???
I think someone from that period of time (when people got arrested for sitting in a diner where only white people were allowed) would probably be amazed that none of the "white folks" is complaining about being forced to stay in the same room than the black people.
I'm not saying, that this is something white americans should be proud of, since it shouldn't have been that way in the first place - but someone from that period of time would definitely notice.
Thinking about it, how is it, that none of the white folks are complaining? I mean there have to be some from the same period of time right?
At 14 Minutes, Keisha asks if they should believe that they don't know what happened to them.
After interviewing more than 10 people, she should have realised (even if she is too lazy to read their files), that they haven't aged a day!!!
So what should they know about?
She is generally pretty unlikeable.
And it only gets worse from there.
The "people in charge" make decisions based on what the writers need to push their agenda.
And the agenda is: "White people want black people to suffer".
Take the piano-scene for example.
It would make sense to let them use it and be happy, which would actually make their job easier - especially considering that they already had a screaming match a few minutes before.
Instead they choose to put gasoline on the fire they should be putting out.
If there wasn't an original show they stole the actual idea from, I'd give it a 7/10.
Since I can't give the show credit for the general idea, its a 5/10.
Despite the preaching, there are some interesting characters (although the writers chose to mostly focus on the terrible ones) and the acting is decent for the most part.
CW woke nonsense hard pass!
Funny, how just when you think CW can't possibly get any worse it suddenly does.
Why does USA need to ruin everything with all kinds of political correct mashups. Just fix the issues and let art be art.
Maybe I'm judging from my white ass male high ground. Still, with all this, they are making people with no racial and sexist direction be upset about the topic and first and foremost ruin art.
The original 4400 was awesome though tormented from idiotic production companies that didn't know what to do with it.
should be renamed 4400BLMLGBT ? What a load of SH^TE. The original was great.
Completely unwatchable, when are they gonna learn?
Hated the pilot. It was my waste of time.
It is already mentioned in the first post. Can it be anymore “pc”. A 100% woke remake...
Probably just making the woke version. I rather just see the original continued.
Show is to woke and poorly written
Huge fan of the original show and was honestly pleasantly surprised to learn CW was remaking a classic show with a majority of minority cast. That said, I could barely make it through the first episode before already realizing this was not going to be anywhere close to the level of tension and drama of the original. Such a waste of an opportunity, even with it being 2021 and how they want to be more relevant. The diversity of the cast is rendered useless by the very low level writing and story telling. Disappointing.
4 episodes in and I just can't watch this crap anymore. it is a disgrace to the original version and i will be very surprised if it isn't cancelled after the first series.
I AM OUT................... I would rather take a shit and watch it float in the toilet for 45 minutes than watch another episode.
It's a shame that this returning series has to shove their political agenda down your throat, they don't even try to subliminally do it. Took a good series and ruined it. If you're a politically correct, racist, social justice warrior that is woke af, this has your name written all over it.
Six episodes are more than enough!
Sorry I really tried to give this re run a fair chance. But this is the kind of trash WOKE ahows after BLM last year. This kind of shows feeds the tensions wrong. White police force opresse black people and it doesn't matter if you come from 1910 2021 or even 2054 society still rot to the core except now there are lesbian black and hispanic female officers and the pigs with the bats are all middle aged fat white assholes:joy::joy:
In my opinion, this show is not very good, watch the original version, it is much better.
I still miss the original show. Why does everything have to be woke these days? This is a disservice to all the ethnicities and LGBTQ+ people. They're tokenized.
If sexual orientation, gender or ethnicity is the most important part of a character then the screenwriter has failed.
Is this a black remake of the original ?
The CW butchers another series revamp. After making Walker look like a dithering wimp, who prefers taking the back seat, now the 4400 becomes a diatribe, dedicated the plight of blacks and homosexuals. This should be a sci-fi mystery series, but is nothing more than another pathetic advert for BLM and pride. More virtue signalling from US tv.
:heart:x7
This was a really good reboot of 4400. I liked this a whole lot better than the original from nearly 20 years ago. I certainly hope there will be a season 2.
How I rate:
1-3  = seriously! don't waste your time
4-6  = you may or may not enjoy this
7-8  = I expect you will like this too
9-10  = movies and TV shows I really love!
I tried watching it, it's way too WOKE for me. Maybe others might like this but it's not for me. I'm out.
I'm all for progress and equality but thanks for ruining a great show with projecting far too much Woke, PC Culture into this show. I've noticed a lot of movies, shows are being remade to fit a narrative of late and this can be seen as Propaganda as it comes in many forms.
Ignore the usual noise of users complaining about SJW and Woke bs.
Some shows do exagerate, like Rise, but there are very few.
This one looks good and I like the story. I did not see the original and I just ordered the DVD of the 4 seasons and I'm going to watch.
If you like mystery and some sci-fi give this one a look.
This episode does it. I quit. I think it's best to rewatch the original rather than spend time watching this nonsense.
The original was a favorite of mine, had no idea it was gonna get a remake (I must be getting old). Seeing how low rated it is currently I'm conflicted on whether I should watch it
I can't wait to avoid this version like the plague. The original was interesting and fresh, considering who is making this and what network it's airing on we can bet that it's going to be a strong political commentary with lots of virtue signaling and a cast of characters nobody can relate to.
Moving the conflict from a series that was born in the midst of a post 9/11 rebirth of supernatural themes, adapting it to racial conflicts is an interesting idea. The development is so amateurish and superficial that it causes embarrassment. Possibly the worst reboot in recent years, it tries to be so inclusive and politically correct that it loses in boring messages instead of spending time with the characters.
Now that the show's been cancelled, is it worth it watching this one season??
I tried, but it's the writing. Situations feels to obvious, and not very believable.
I don't know what to expect but I'm looking forward to finding out how the show has been updated. I liked the original and it sucked when SyFy cancelled it. Personally, I'm all in for diverse casting and representation on screen.
Major negative: It's on the CW.
Major positive: Despite being on the CW, Greg Berlanti appears to be nowhere near it.
So...I'll give it a shot. Yeah, I know. I never learn.

So here is my prophecy 2 months before the premiere:
"...overlooked, undervalued, or otherwise marginalized people..."
Already sounds like the show is being butchered.
In the original the 4400 came out of all areas of society (admittedly no trans people and i can't remember if there were gay people), some important by our standards (at least one CEO), children (which in eyes who are not the parents are always marginalized and overlooked) and other "normal" people.
This sounds like the typical SJW mouthpiece where they try to make their agenda marketable by riding on the back of a successful idea.
I especially hate the term "undervalued". When it is used to describe someone it is always a false statement, since at least one person (the person saying that something or someone is being undervalued) does not undervalue them and more importantly it leads to an extreme overcorrection.
If you think people are undervalued: Use it, build a buisness and hire all the people you think are undervalued. If you are correct you should be able to turn a tidy profit.
That would be something that actually helps the so called "undervalued people", opposed to constant complaining how unfair white men are...
