Seriously heartbroken it doesn't have a second season. Just like with every episode leaving you wanting more, the finale definitely left me NEEDING more. Realistic, well written and likable characters, smart, witty, incredibly sad at times and ALL without trying too hard. This show is effortlessly amazing. Alas, the good ones are always snuffed too soon.
Another mass media production promoting unskeptical nonsense.

I actually really enjoyed this. First of all, Patrick Wilson is charismatic as hell. He's amazing to look at, there's something about his bone structure that's just amazing, his voice is incredible and he doesn't suck at acting so that's already a great start. The main ladies are equally fantastic: Jennifer Ehle, the underrated Ms Elhe makes for a great ghost, Rachelle Lefevre is a leading lady I always enjoy (someone stop canceling this woman's shows!!!) and it hasNMargo Martindale in a supporting role . That's like a holy trinity right there.
Less convincing in terms of role is Julie Benz through no fault of hers but the sister/nephew arc was a let down which I think is also why they stopped trying to include them as much as the episodes went on.
Once you stopped trying to figure out or rationalize the whole ex-wife ghost thing talking to a super mega famous brain surgeon, it's a show that's really heartfelt and pulls you in. It managed to get a few tears out of me and I'm really sad/surprised that this did not get a second season. Yes, it's a bit cliché on all accounts but I've seen worse tv shows go on for seasons despite terrible storylines.
