Religious soap opera about a Church of Scotland minister, Adam Smith, who is working in a rural parish. Adam Smith lasted for two seasons – one of 12 episodes and a longer one of 27. Andrew Keir as Adam Smith is totally believable as a Presbyterian minister. The series begins with Adam mourning the death of his wife. Throughout the series Adam has to come to terms with his great loss and it casts some doubts over his work, and also his faith. However he does have two daughters - Helen (Kara Wilson) is the more traditional of the two and Annie (Brigit Forsyth) who calls her father ‘Adam’ and has far more radical views than her sister.
