Akame ga Kill! 2014

Akame ga kill is like game of thrones in that it has no respect for it's characters. The show gets you attached to the characters. You as a viewer get to know them, their ideals and what moves them, only to get your heart ripped out, stomped on and burned when often in the same or following episode you see your new favourite character (or match) get killed. Thank god they didn't kill Tatsumi until the second to last episode.

The art style is nice, it's really good actually. The story is fast-paced, the characters are like-able, the villains are evil, the superpowers are amazing. If you like cool people fighting other cool people yet cool people who are bad, this is certainly a show I recommend. If you can handle losing almost all your favourite characters that is.

An Incredible story with lovable characters. From the very first episode you'll get hooked on to this show.
Every single episode has a unique tale to tell. Director did a great job in amplying the impact of the villians by those artistic effects.
Initially I was hoping for a simple Sword Fight based anime but what it had to offer was way better the that.
Only drawback is that, Anime adapted for an original ending, it is a lot different in the manga.
PS: Mine & Tatsumi are still alive in manga.

Akame Ga Kill

I am in the mid of it, and I am deeply impressed. It started a tiny bit slow, but not too much. It is quickly escalating to some extreme scenes. It is about a assassination group killing corrupts in a government city, supporting rebels to overthrow a corrupt government.

The characters are pretty extreme, fleshed out, interesting and come with backgrounds, they don't feel like they are thrown in lovelessly.

There is an openly gay character, a possibly hinting lesbian and trans character, but unlike most animes, I like that they are merely making it one attribute of the characters, instead of the defining one. That guy dude is a bastard of a fighter and is surely remembered by the audience for that and his motivational words!

It is also pretty brutal, for that matter. Albeit so far, still miles away from the likes of Hellsing Ultimate.

Familiar to: Hunter X Hunter, Black Bullet, Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Rating: 10/10

You need to watch this anime. The story is amazing with characters well written. The antagonists are awesome. Beware of the ending, might make you cry. Just watch an episode and you'll want more. 10/10

Not My Cup of Tea

The leading character seemed to be around 10 or 12 years old according to the way he acted throughout the show (so oblivious to sexual advances). I felt a bit uncomfortable believing Esdeath to be around her early to mid 20s when she looked, acted, and sounded more around 30s-40s. In my opinion, the show tip-toes along the edge of inappropriate relations, like an adult teacher lusting for one of their underaged pupils. Not that that happens in the show, but the same vein uncomfortably exists.
