I started this show because it is on the same channel as Carmilla, and while that show has it's issues too I really enjoyed it. And like, a show with queer ladies based on the Three Musketeers sounds really nice, right? Well if you're into high school level drama you might like it, but it's not really my thing as it turns out. Lots of the drama seems to be self-generated and due to bad communication. The characters are pretty strongheaded with questionable morals. There's this never ending circle of the characters hurting their friends and then trying to make up with them. The main character has a romantic interest, but it's like, she barely exists on camera? How am I supposed to root for a relationship that I can't even see? The show has some nice characters but at the end all of them end up lashing out at their friends.. I don't know, it's just the whole atmosphere is pretty depressing most of the time with only one or two episodes where everyone gets along. Apparently, no one knows how to deal with a break up in a healthy way. There's also peer pressure, where no one even cares that they are forcing their well meaning friend to do shitty things. I did like the part with the online friend group being present in their lives, but it takes some time to get used to reading the chat and actually processing the irl happenings.
