Not as good as last season but still a good watch! Anthony Mackie as kovacs didnt work for me, he felt more like a secondary character to the show rather than the main. Fingers crossed Netflix renew for a third

20 minutes in and I was wondering when it would be over.
This has been a letdown and, once again, a squandered opportunity of another great franchise.

Another woman who created everything and is the key to everything, another main character that gets sidelined, another bunch of weak men and strong wamen, another heap of emotional scenes that fall flat, unrealistic fighting scenes, the works. A lot of what made the previous season so special just has been removed. Mackie didnt have the chops, the asian fella didnt' get the lines he deserved it was all just.... blah.

I hope season 3 will get back to its noir roots with a good plot, good dialogue and real women who are strong women not just men in disguise beating down the men around 'm cuz patriarchy n shit. Give me cunning dames and sleazy cyberdetectives, give me corrupt cops, conspiracies and the remifications of being able to love forever and as whatever person you can afford to be, give me class-struggle. Give me season 1.

Back when S1 aired I thought it was a good show with some minor flaws (mainly the main villain of the last episodes) . But S2 doesn't even come near that. There is so much stupid writing (so many plot holes!), boring characters and rehashing of old plot lines that it almost became a chore to finish the season.

The entire season, including Mackies acting, felt like a cheap SyFy run of the mill PG sci-fi show. S1 on the other hand was at times a fantastically gritty cyberpunk show. But S2 had none of that.

Poe is, since the first season, by far the best, how to see and be able to have an AI to be aware and to have feelings, so many that in the last moment of his life and of his friend's life, he has taken all the data from his DNA so that it would not go away or be lost.

Poe is the fucking master of the series, I can't wait to see how the new season goes.

With all the props, spectacular special effects, excellent CGI, production design and all of that, Chris Conner (aka Poe) is the best thing (considering he plays an IA) in the show. He shows more emotion and real acting than everyone else. For me at least, he steals the set when he comes into a scene.

I felt like this episode lost a little luster toward the middle of it, but the ending for me brought it back around.
It's not as powerful as the first season, but the wisdom in the show at least still rang throughout it.

"We're all broken. There's nothing more human than that."

Better get the good whiskey ready.

I loved this season as much as the first one. It leaned on all the stuff that season 1 did that wasn't in the book and raised the stakes. Poe is MVP, but all the new characters are good and interesting.
It also helps that its still one of the most gorgeous shows to look at.

Bring on season 3 and make it 10 episodes, like season 1, next time lol. HE LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And hopefully Poe ends up being Poe again. With the way it ended it looks like they could make Quellcrist Falconer the main hero of season 3. But as we all know Takeshi is still alive. Maybe it'll be about him trying to find her all over again lol. She just teleported away to look for some other war going on. And it turns out aliens, neat. Sort of. As long as Poe comes back lol. Bring on the game Cyberpunk.

This season ruined a lot of things and Kovacs tops the list. When Joel Kinnaman left, the show's spirit went with him. Anthony Mackie just doesn't work. Since it looks like Poe managed to save Kovacs, can we put him in a new sleeve, a better actor? We have Will Yun Lee back, make him the lead, I would love that.

It's good this ended with the 2nd season. Anything after this would just add to the stupid. Fist season was great in my opinion.
I almost thought 2nd season would be redeemable since the main character died and then I saw that last scene with Poe. That was so bs to me...
but hey, at least they ended it before it got worse

It has been improving, until reaching the season finale. This ending was not expected. If they did a season 3, I'd watch it

If she invented/discovered stack technology, wouldn't she be the oldest of old Meths?
