The flashbacks of Shadow when he was younger were very interesting. I can't help but think that they hold a lot of significance. Perhaps they contributed to his awakening of sorts. Somehow, I think he completely forgot all those memories and the torturing brought them back. His memories probably play a huge part in his character. I expected some sort of lightning or thunder caused by him when the clouds showed up, but it seemed like that was due to Mr. Wednesday. I'm well aware this is only the second episode so this may seem a little ignorant but I really hope Shadow becomes whatever makes him so special in this season.

I thought this was better than the previous episode. More surrealist.

O'Reilly was one of my favorites in Oz and his performance here shined. Hope we see more of that guy. Was he an intermediary of some sort or a God? Didn't seem like a God.

Hated watching Shadow be tortured though, and there was arguably too much flashback of little Shadow. I don't know that we need that much insight into his character. It was nicely done, but it's too soon to say if it was necessary.

Hmmm, so Shadow doesn't know his father ? Clearly he's a god then. And clearly the one playing with the coin. I don't remember, did we see Odin do that ?

Apart from this information flashbacks from Shadow's past and the torture felt like a drag. The Sweeney and dead wife dynamics works.

Talk about a cheat to avoid paying for effects at the end... Is Betty Sleipnir ? And as Odin didn't he have a lot of ways to do that without sacrificing the car ?

This episode had some grit to it. Shadows flashbacks were a great welcome I love seeing Laura and the Leprechaun together; great banter.

Episode was written by Bryan Fuller, and the quality shows.
