American Horror Story

Season 3

Such a sexy season this was. The story line was awesome aND I just fell in love with all the actors even more. Cudda guessed the ending however, but they did do a good job of keeping you guessing even if you THOUGHT you knew who the >ONE< was. Bravo AHS! Favorite season so far.

For People who watch AHS for the Horror-Aspekt probably one of the tamer/lamer Seasons. If you like Witches, Black Cloth and Sass however, you are in for a treat.

It started with so much power and potential, and ended in such lousy and mediocre way.

Didn't love it, didn't hate it.

This season was so-so. It had it's moments but I feel like it was stumbling about at other parts.

It wasnt as good as Asylum, of course. But it wasnt that bad, it felt at the same level as season 1

Asylum's premise was rather boring but grew on me with every episode. Coven is kind of the opposite: I was hooked on the premise and characters but lost interest quickly. There is some teen drama as many mentioned, but the real problem is the plot being so out of focus and poorly developed. It almost looked like they were improvising as they went along. Everyone keeps dying and revive so many times that by the end I couldn't care less. So many great characters wasted. Fiona is probably the only one that preserves a coherent story arc, and her chemistry with Marie Laveau managed to keep me interested until (almost) the end. It's not a terrible show but still a pity.

This season started promising, but later on it's just about lame witches prancing around. There's almost zero consequences for anything that happens - anything bad just reverts back to normal. I did like the axeman and Fiona though.

This season of AHS is like a half-baked tray of brownies. Some genuinely great performances and well executed scenes make it watchable, but it’s full of narrative laziness and lands to the far left of sympathetic, interesting characters. Even Jessica Lange couldn’t sell 13 episodes of the one dimensional arrogance that is so deeply ingrained in most of the self-serving characters.

Misty Day, the one example of shining benevolence is simply a cardboard cutout of “the good guy.” Her character’s fate is a final grab at shock value by the writer’s. She’s never woven into the plot is any meaningful way and this is also true of the many loose ends left behind by the show. American Horror Story: Coven is okay at best, and only because of the incredible talent involved.

wow, that was a weak season finale :/ Appropriate for a weak-ish season I suppose, but I still expected more...

I don't think it's the worst season, probably because I enjoy stories of witches.
