Anyone else noticed that when Cuba Gooding Jr's character is watching the break-in on his phone, the TV is showing the OJ car chase? Appropriate
I enjoined the documentary style, it makes it feel more "real" and I hope they keep the story good and interesting for the rest of the season.
I was really having my doubts about this season, seeing freakshow and hotel pretty much sucked...but FINALLY!!! it is back where it belongs, been a long time i jumped while watching AHS, but this episode had me jump 2 times while the others made me bored and want to stop watching. I really love the way they are playing it this season having the "real people" and actors play it out, it gives a whole new dimension to the show. For the first time in a long time i can't wait till next week and see what happens!

Out of all the teasers they put out, knowing that only one of them was accurate, I'd sure hoped it'd be the creepy farmhouse! I like what they're doing so far. I mean it was a little all over the place but I can forgive that for the introductory episode. One complaint: I see no reason why every episode shouldn't have Evan Peters in it :) Nice to see Lily Rabe will have a bigger role this season too. And I sure hope whoever Kathy Bates' character will be will be 1000x more interesting than Iris.

This show has been going downhills for seasons, but this fake ID show set up is definitely the worst of all. I'll give it 1 or 2 more eps to see how it goes, but so far this is a big letdown.
Ah, so the whole season is going to be told as "My Roanoke Nightmare"? Like, "My Haunted House".
Interesting way to go. I do love "My Haunted House", so we'll see how this ends up. It did keep me intrigued the whole time and I want more. I didn't see Gaga in the ending credits >.>; but she said her character is "more grounded" so I'm expecting her to pop out as a creature. Anyway, bring it on AHS! Gimme more!

It's been wonderful, best season premiere of every season. The characters, the fake-documentary and the place, 10/10. I've been waiting for this true horror for a long time. I hope next episode is even better!
I was wondering what the theme would be this season, whether it'd be a throwback to Universal Monsters or Twilight Zone.
It seems to be a varied mixture but the format itself has changed, going by chapters, documentary style.

I really dont like the documentary style but i am in for haunted houses stories so that part sounds promising for me. Will see.

i really like this style, it' so fresh. but i'ce gotta say i thought the same about Hotel and that season ended being bad. i hope this season to be more like Asylum. i pray for that
