Seán Mac Labhraí retraces Donegal author Seosamh Mac Grianna's epic 300-mile hike through Wales in 1934. In episode one, Seán undertakes the first part of his journey from Cardiff to the coalfields of the Rhondda valley. Using Mac Grianna's book 'Mo Bhealach Féin' as a guide, Seán learns about Wales, past and present, and tries to understand why Ireland's greatest Gaelic novelist undertook this arduous journey through some of the most spectacular scenery in Britain.
